Willie Mae Battle was born in Montgomery, AL on April 6, 1938. She married Dr. Henry L. Butts on September 4,1960. She graduated from Daytona Beach Community College in 1979, where she studied business and hospitality. When she was only 29 years of age, she became District Missionary of Western Louisiana Church of God In Christ under Bishop White. She has been an active missionary in the Church of God in Christ for more than 35 years.

Presently, Mother Butts is the Assistant Pastor of Butts Miracle Temple COGIC and supervisor of women for the East Central Florida District. She is a "fisher of men" for the kingdom of God. She travels extensively conducting soul-winning revivals. In her hometown of Daytona Beach, she is the founder and operator of the Westside Outreach Center, where she ministers to the temporal needs of people of all ages. She is also the co-founder of the Daily Bread Feeding Program. Mother Butts loves God and his people and doesn't mind sharing the good news that Jesus saves. She also hosts a weekly radio ministry on WAPN 91.5 FM and WPUL 1590 AM in Daytona Beach.

Mother Butts is the proud mother of fourteen (14) children and was married to Dr. Henry L. Butts for more than 45 years.
